Privacy policy for fanmarketers.com
Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data is the administrator of the fanmarketers.com service. For any privacy question or request, write to [email protected]. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean the administrator, and "you" means a visitor, a client or a member of a studio team.
Data we collect
We collect the following data:
- Account data: your email address and a hash of your password. We never store your password in readable form.
- Growth audit answers: platform, niche, subscriber range, current channels, weekly hours for promotion and subscription price. If you take the audit without an account, these answers are linked only to a random code and your browser session.
- Onboarding data: your creator name and page link, niche, content boundaries, channels, the content you supply, and the access details you choose to set up in the dashboard.
- Age and identity verification: the result of the check (passed or not), the date, and the minimum details needed to prove that the check took place.
- Payment status: your plan, payment method type, amounts, dates, invoice numbers and whether a payment succeeded. Card numbers and crypto wallet keys are handled by the payment processors, not stored by us.
- Service data: tasks, proof links, reports, link in bio clicks, and messages you exchange with the team in the dashboard inbox.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and basic server logs, used for security and to keep the service running.
We do not collect data about your fans from your platform accounts beyond what appears in campaign results you ask us to report.
Why we use your data
We use your data to:
- create and secure your account and let you sign in;
- show you the result of the growth audit and the full plan after you sign up;
- check that every creator is an adult and is who they say they are, before any work starts;
- perform the marketing services in your plan and report on them;
- process payments, issue invoices and keep accounting records;
- send you service emails such as sign in codes, invoices, reports and changes to our terms;
- protect the service against fraud, abuse and security threats;
- meet our legal duties.
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
Legal bases under GDPR
If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or a country with similar law, we rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you (account, audit, services, payments); our legal obligations (age checks, tax and accounting records); our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the service); and your consent where we ask for it, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who receives your data
We share data only with service providers that help us run the service, and only as much as each one needs. They act on our instructions and must keep the data secure. The categories are:
- a hosting provider that stores the website and its database;
- payment processors for card and crypto payments;
- an email delivery provider that sends service emails;
- an identity verification provider that performs the age and identity check.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a person. Our team members see only the data they need for the pages they work on.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside your country. When data leaves the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we use safeguards that the law accepts, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
- Account, onboarding and service data: while your account is active, and up to 12 months after you close it, so you can return or export your records.
- Growth audits taken without an account: up to 90 days.
- Age and identity check results: as long as your account is active and for the period the law requires after it closes.
- Payment and invoice records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Server logs: up to 30 days, unless needed to investigate a security problem.
When the period ends, we delete the data or make it anonymous.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to access your data, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Most data can be viewed and exported in your dashboard. For anything else, email [email protected], and we reply within one month.
Your rights under CCPA
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, to ask us to delete it, to correct it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising, and we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes other than providing the service. To use your rights, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity first, and you can use an authorized agent.
Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections, hashed passwords, email confirmation codes, access limited to the people who need it, and regular backups. Access to your platform accounts is arranged only through the dashboard and used only for the tasks your plan covers. We never ask for passwords by email. If a breach affects your data, we tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Anonymity
You can stay anonymous to the public. We never reveal that you are our client, and faceless promotion is available on every plan. Your legal identity is known only from the verification step and is not shown to the marketers working on your page beyond what they need.
Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies. Read our cookie policy for details.
Children
The service is only for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we delete any such data as soon as we learn about it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We tell clients about material changes by email and in the dashboard before they take effect, and we always show the date of the latest version at the top.
